Toll taxes in Bulgaria
Today, January 10, 2020, proposals were adopted regarding the scope and tariffs of the toll system concerning freight vehicles, as follows:
Scope
The second-class roads are excluded from the scope of the toll system. Only motorways and first-class roads will be subject to toll charges.
Taxes
Tests will be carried out for a period of three months, from March to June 2020.
After the three-month testing period has expired, an additional meeting will be held to present the final results.
All heavy-duty vehicles and buses must be equipped with on-board units or via GPS operators by February 29, 2020, in order to launch the commercial operation of the system on March 1, 2020.
