IMT Plovdiv provides the opportunity for fast and efficient combined transport of container cargo from trucks to rail, helping to reduce traffic on the national road network as well as lowering harmful emissions.

The terminal covers an area of 71,450 sq.m. and is located near Todor Kableshkov railway station.

The terminal yard, with an area of 32.5 decares, is designated for container loading and unloading activities from railcars to trucks and vice versa using a mobile crane, as well as for temporary storage of intermodal terminal units. The yard includes zones for temporary storage of containers, semi-trailers and trailers, refrigerated containers, and damaged containers.

The administrative building is situated between the loading/unloading yard and the parking lot. It is a two-story building, with open shelters for customs inspection and a car wash located on both sides.

The parking area provides 22 truck parking spaces and 17 car parking spaces, with a total area of 6,369 sq.m.

The railway track has a total length of 3 km, of which 2.4 km are electrified, built entirely with new materials. The terminal includes three reception-departure tracks and one loading/unloading track.

The terminal is fully equipped with communication systems, video surveillance, and security across the entire site.
