How it works

The Intermodal transport is becoming more and more popular and is the logistical solution of the future. It includes a combination of different types of transport to achieve the optimum routes in terms of deadlines and prices.
At least two different types of transport are combined to create a fast, efficient and ecologically reasonable transport chain – without changing the transport container. Intermodal Terminal loads and unloads containers and trailers to and from trains.

Harmful emissions

Freight transport is responsible for approximately one-quarter of carbon emissions in Europe. Carbon dioxide (emission figures) is a colorless gas considered the initial source of global warming. Bulgaria, with its strategic location, is used as a transport corridor between Europe and Asia, which causes more than the expected pollution of the air and the environment. Intermodal transport is a combination of road and rail transport. Innovation, eliminating partly the trucks off the road, thus easing traffic and reducing harmful emissions. Including: carbon emissions, nitrogen oxides and hydrocarbon oxides, energy consumption and atmospheric noises. Rail transport is considered to be the most ecological solution.
